Flowable Fill (CLSM) · Placer County
Flowable fill — controlled low-strength material (CLSM) — is a self-leveling, self-compacting slurry that replaces compacted backfill. It flows into trenches and voids, sets firm enough to support loads, and can be excavated later if the utility ever needs to come back up.
Volumetric batching is ideal for CLSM: quantities are metered on the spot, so a long trench or an odd-shaped void gets filled without guessing truckloads in advance.
Rocklin sits about 22 miles from our yard, and here's why that barely matters: the concrete isn't mixed until the truck is parked at your forms. Distance affects our drive, never your mix quality. Tight access — backyards, narrow drives, sloped lots — is a conversation, not a dealbreaker. Tell the order desk what the approach looks like and we will plan chute reach and staging before pour day.

Rocklin is a Placer County community of roughly 61,213 residents, about 22 miles from our West Sacramento yard — typically 33–53 minutes for a mixer to reach, traffic willing.

Utility trench backfill, filling abandoned pipes, tanks, and vaults, and structural void fill. It eliminates compaction in lifts — the material consolidates itself and supports load when set.
Standard CLSM mixes are designed to be excavatable with normal equipment, which is why utilities prefer them over lean concrete for trench work. Tell us the intended use and we will batch the right strength.
A few days' notice books most residential pours; larger or inspected work benefits from more lead time. Same-day dispatch is sometimes possible — it never hurts to call.
Formed and staked forms, clear truck access, someone authorized on site, and a washout area. Our Before You Order guide walks through all of it.
Tell us what you're pouring and when. We'll bring the mix to your site and meter it by the yard — so every dollar you spend ends up in the forms.
