Flowable Fill (CLSM) · El Dorado County
Fresh to the forms in South Lake Tahoe.
Flowable fill — controlled low-strength material (CLSM) — is a self-leveling, self-compacting slurry that replaces compacted backfill. It flows into trenches and voids, sets firm enough to support loads, and can be excavated later if the utility ever needs to come back up.
Volumetric batching is ideal for CLSM: quantities are metered on the spot, so a long trench or an odd-shaped void gets filled without guessing truckloads in advance.
South Lake Tahoe sits about 87 miles from our yard, and here's why that barely matters: the concrete isn't mixed until the truck is parked at your forms. Distance affects our drive, never your mix quality. Repeat contractors get a rhythm going with the order desk — standing windows, familiar mixes, and a call-ahead system that keeps crews placing instead of waiting.
