Flowable Fill (CLSM) · Yolo County
Mixed fresh where West Sacramento builds.
Flowable fill — controlled low-strength material (CLSM) — is a self-leveling, self-compacting slurry that replaces compacted backfill. It flows into trenches and voids, sets firm enough to support loads, and can be excavated later if the utility ever needs to come back up.
Volumetric batching is ideal for CLSM: quantities are metered on the spot, so a long trench or an odd-shaped void gets filled without guessing truckloads in advance.
What West Sacramento customers notice first is what's missing — no anxious countdown while a barrel truck fights traffic from a distant plant. The materials arrive dry, the mixing happens at your forms, and workability is exactly what it should be. Tight access — backyards, narrow drives, sloped lots — is a conversation, not a dealbreaker. Tell dispatch what the approach looks like and we will plan chute reach and staging before pour day.
